Amir Sukalic is the founder of AlbaPro, a video and photography production specializing in weddings and music videos. A winner of two prestigious Emmy Awards for his work in television, Amir’s signature editing style is a favorite of the contemporary bride.
Amir was raised in Bar, Montenegro, and moved to New York in 1994; he graduated from Kingsborough Community College with a degree in broadcasting and later studied video editing at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Amir has worked in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Las Vegas and has covered destination weddings in the Caribbean. He has shot and edit music videos as well as commercials and corporate videos. He is fluent in Albanian and Montenegrin.
Amir is currently the Senior Director of Photography for NYC-Media (ch. 25 and 74) where he covers Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s press briefings and daily appearances. He is a director of photography for the ‘Eat Out New York’ with Kelly Choi, ‘That’s so New York’ , ‘Secrets of New York'.
Amir is also a director of programing for Alba Life TV which is an Non-Profit Albanian Language TV broadcasted on Staten Island's and Brooklyn's community channels.
Amir is an avid football (soccer) player and an AS Roma fan; he resides on Staten Island, NY with his wife Lumi, son Aaron and daughter Aurora.
